Our research focus upon two major scopes:
- The synthesis and processing of ceramics for advanced material applications in general, and energy-related applications in particular.
- Regulating the reaction of non-carbon alternative fuels to generate friendly byproducts in a controllable way.
Our research is guided by the unique and diverse role that ceramic materials play in energy applications. We are developing ceramics for more effective thermal insulation, thermal batteries, catalysts for alternative fuels combustion, piezoelectric materials for energy harvesting, protective coatings and Transparent Conducting Oxides (TCO’s) for photovoltaic cells.
